Alpine Walk 2019 is now in the past and a good time was had by all.
The event started dinner and exhibits on Friday night in the Somerset Ballroom. This year we had game stations for the kids as well as a movie, they were a big hit with everyone, adults included.
After breakfast Saturday morning activities included games sponsored by the Hemophilia Federation of America and more exhibits there was tubing for dads and kids while some of the moms retired to relax and talk about issues facing those living with bleeding disorders now as opposed to years gone by.
Year after year we watch as kids become adults and lifelong friendships are established and maintained.
At noon folks met for pizza and to get their uphill passes for the snowshoe walk. There was a brisk wind
on the mountain but that didn’t stop people from making the climb with some of them getting back
down by sliding on the frozen snow!
Later, after a couple hours of rest or pool time everyone met back at ballroom for a silent auction, dinner and bingo and a movie for the kids. Food, fun, friends and family. Although this is a fundraiser for CHS our most important goal is to help people gather and connect.
Thanks to everyone who attended, helped and donated!
