Many thanks to the New England Hemophilia Association for posting this memory. We are so fortunate to be able to work as a team for all those in the bleeding disorder community.Today is World Hemophilia Day. 75% of those living with a bleeding disorder around the world remain undiagnosed, receive inadequate treatment, or no treatment at all.

In this Hemophilia Federation of America post, Maryann, hemophilia mom and Executive Director of the Connecticut Hemophilia Society, provides a powerful reminder about how fortunate we are to live with a bleeding disorder in the United States and offers thoughts about what can be done to help those in other countries: bit.ly/1FUec1S

Collaboration and cooperation. Making New England great! We were thrilled to host with the Hemostasis & Thrombosis Center at Rhode Island Hospital, an important meeting with providers from New England Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTCs)! The goal was to have an engaging and cooperative day filled with opportunities for enhanced partnerships, to identify the challenges HTCs are facing, the insurance trends occurring throughout the region, and to create a better understanding of the programs and services we offer.

Thank you to the providers that attended from Boston Children's, Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Maine Medical Center, Rhode Island Hospital, UConn Health, UMass Memorial, and the Yale Hemophilia Treatment Center!
